System Architect
We are looking for a confident individual with a keen interest and a desire to provide technology to enable the Equity business in Asia.
Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of the Unix/Linux environment, as well as database experience. Perl/shell scripting will be largely used to automate integration, deployment and architectural solutions.
This position involves participating on all levels of ongoing system development, including: requirements analysis, design, architecture, implementation, integration, testing and deployment.
The environment is highly pressured and the successful candidate will need to be able to handle competing demands on their time and manage their own work to deadlines.
Skills required:
1.        Technical skills:
         Intermediate or advanced experience of Unix/Linux platform, Sybase/SQL and scripting [Perl preferred], Fix messaging, XML.
         Hands-on development or Integration experience in Equity trading systems.
         Strong technical ability in solving low-level problems.
2.        People/Project management:
         Ability to manage projects within a highly demanding environment.
         Effective and efficient organizational skills.
         Ability to establish and maintain relationships across various IT organizations.
3.        Character:
         Self motivated with record of accomplishment with managing and successfully deploying projects.
         Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
         Strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
         Achievement-orientated with high energy level.
         Excellent team player capable of earning the respect of colleagues worldwide.
         Flexible and innovative.
4.        Educational Background:
         Undergraduate degree or above in a computer science/scientific/mathematical/engineering concentration.
         Excellent oral English
